As we approach the close of 2024, I find it essential to take a pause—a “hard stop,” as I like to call it—to reflect on what has been an extraordinary year for DLK Group. This year has brought remarkable milestones, moments of learning, and ultimately a renewed sense of purpose across our team.
It has been a year where challenges turned into opportunities, efforts transformed into achievements and collaboration shaped outcomes we can all take pride in.
Our Collective Achievements
For 2024, we set ambitious goals, and I am proud to say, that together, we surpassed many of them. Firstly we remained focussed on our North Star and celebrated 25 years of being in business, a massive milestone for DLK. Other meaningful successes include:
Enterprise Architecture Services Provision for the Western Cape: We once again secured a key contract with the Western Cape Government to deliver Enterprise Architecture, Data, Solutions and Business Architecture services, enabling streamlined IT systems and strategic digital transformation for the Province. DLK has been delivering this critical service for the past 9 years.
Provision of ICT Professional Services to the City of Cape Town: Through this contract, we are delivering a broad range of IT-managed services, including project management, change management, and business analysis, ensuring efficiency and operational excellence for critical and large-scale city projects.
Transversal Project, Programme, Portfolio, and Contract Management Support for the City of Cape Town: Our team is actively providing Design, Communications and Change Management services to support the City of Cape Town’s infrastructure and IT modernization efforts, fostering smoother transitions and user-centric systems.
Development of Web-Based Applications for the Western Cape Department of Health & Wellness: We expanded our portfolio by partnering with the Western Cape government, supporting initiatives that improve community well-being through technology-driven solutions.
We successfully delivered impactful projects that not only helped our clients optimize their IT environments but also empowered them to drive meaningful change. Notably, we contributed to a significant project that earned our client a UN award—a testament to the calibre of work we bring to every engagement.
Strategic ECM Strategy for SAPS: We partnered with the South African Police Service (SAPS) to develop a comprehensive Enterprise Content Management (ECM) strategy, enhancing document and information management processes to improve efficiency, security, and operational effectiveness within the organization.
We hosted and participated in industry-defining events, including the prestigious International Project Management Association -IPMA World Congress as well as the Sanlam Data Week. These platforms reinforced our role as thought leaders in Advisory consulting and managed services, allowing us to share knowledge, build partnerships, and showcase innovation.
Internally, we continued to nurture our team’s growth, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration. It is through your resilience, creativity, and hard work that we remain a trusted partner. Over the past few months, our team has experienced tremendous growth, welcoming a wave of new, dynamic young talent into our ranks. This fresh energy and perspective have not only strengthened our capabilities but also reaffirmed our commitment to fostering the next generation of innovators and leaders. Their creativity and drive have already made a tangible impact within DLK Group, and we are excited to see them flourish as they contribute to our shared success.
Every win this year has been powered by your dedication—our team, our clients, and our strategic partners.
Celebrating Our Team
To my incredible team: you are the backbone of our success. Your commitment to excellence and your passion for delivering value to our clients really set us apart. Through long days, new challenges, and ambitious projects, you have shown what it means to be part of a team that delivers. I want you to take a moment to be proud of how far you have come—both as individuals and as a team.
A Note of Gratitude to Our Clients and Partners
To our valued clients and partners, thank you for your trust. Your challenges inspire us to innovate, and your collaboration pushes us to deliver exceptional outcomes every time. This year has been about building strong relationships that go far beyond contracts.
It was a privilege to assist many of you on projects that not only delivered immediate results but created long-term impact. Your success is our success, and we are grateful to be part of your journey.
Together, we have built a foundation of trust, innovation, and growth, and I look forward to the opportunities 2025 will bring as we continue to evolve and excel—together.
Recharge, Reflect, and Set Your Vision for 2025
The holiday season is the perfect time to step back, recharge, and reconnect with what matters most: family and friends. I encourage all of us to take this time to reflect not only on what we accomplished but on what lies ahead.
What goals do you want to achieve in 2025?
What steps will take you closer to success, both personally and professionally?
This period of reflection allows us to envision the future while appreciating the moments that make life meaningful.
As for DLK Group our vision for 2025 is clear:
We will continue to be at the forefront of digital transformation, empowering businesses through our portfolio of Managed Services.
We will strengthen our focus on cloud innovation, and AI-driven solutions to meet the dynamic needs of our clients.
Most importantly, we will continue to invest in our people and our relationships—because that’s where true success begins.
Wrapping It Up
I am immensely proud of what we have achieved this year. As we wrap up 2024, let’s celebrate what we’ve built together and look forward to an exciting year ahead.
May this holiday season bring you rest, joy, and special moments with loved ones. And when we return in 2025, let’s bring that same energy, passion, and determination that carried us through this year.
